The “Peony” Earrings!

Happy Summer to you!

There have been lots of new things happening in the studio!

And engraving is one of them!

I was recently able to take a week long course in Emporia, Kansas, and it was fantastic.

There was so much to learn,

just my workspace alone was a little intimidating!

We learned how to use a microscope, sharpen gravers at different angles, and then the practice began. After five days and lots of practice it started to feel good and I can't wait to start integrating engraving into my pieces :)

And Kansas was so lovely!

So first up are The “Peony” Earrings!

I made these with a contrast of a matte finish against high polish elements to really make them pop!
